Building independence for life beyond school

Our occupational therapy support for adolescents and young adults focuses on practical life skills, confidence and independence at home, in the community and (where relevant) in work and study settings.

Services may include:

  • functional capacity assessments (FCA)

  • support with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as:

    • routines and organisation

    • showering, toileting and hygiene

    • dressing

    • meal preparation

    • cleaning and household skills

    • shopping

    • money management

  • support for pain management (acute or persistent)

  • strategies to improve energy and day-to-day capacity

  • equipment prescription

  • minor home modifications
