Getting started

Bookings, referrals + questions

To get started, please complete our Referral Form. It gives us the key information we need to understand your needs and confirm we’re the right fit for your goals.

You’re welcome to self-refer. Referrals from GPs, specialists, schools and other services are also welcome (but not required).

Once we receive your referral, our team will:

  • review your information

  • confirm whether we can support your needs

  • provide an estimated wait time (or offer the next available appointment)

Not sure what to book or which service you need? We’re happy to help.

Waitlist support

If there is a waitlist, we aim to offer an initial appointment where possible. This helps us learn more about your situation and provide support while you wait - such as education, simple strategies, or a home program to get you started.

If you’re placed on a waitlist, we’ll already understand your goals and can provide additional guidance during this time where appropriate.

For your first appointment, please bring any relevant reports, letters, assessments, or school/medical information you have.

Funding options (Private health, Medicare + NDIS)

Private health insurance

Many health funds recognise occupational therapy, psychology and exercise physiology. Check your extras cover and rebates directly with your insurer.

Medicare

Medicare rebates may be available for eligible clients with a GP Management Plan (GPMP) or GP Mental Health Treatment plan, and appropriate referral paperwork.

NDIS

We welcome clients with Plan-Managed and Self-Managed NDIS funding.

What to expect

  • Once we receive your referral, we review your information to ensure we have the right clinicians, experience and availability to support your needs. If we’re the right team for you, we’ll contact you to arrange an appointment or confirm your waitlist details.

  • Your therapist will complete an initial assessment to understand your goals, strengths, daily challenges and what you’d like to improve. Together, you’ll decide on priorities and next steps.
For many paediatric clients, this may include a parent/carer session first to gather history, followed by an assessment session with your child.

  • Your psychologist will meet with you to understand your concerns, history and goals. Together, you’ll develop a plan for future sessions and the best pathway forward.

  • After the assessment stage, we’ll confirm goals and outline a clear plan. This may include individual sessions, practical strategies, a home program, group programs/education, or referral to another clinician within our team if that better suits your needs.

  • Please bring any relevant reports, letters, assessments, or school/medical information you have. If you’re unsure what’s helpful, bring what you can - we’ll guide you.
