APPOINTMENTS

BOOKING AN APPOINTMENT

We welcome you to complete a referral form through our website. This provides us with the initial information we require to ensure you are a good fit for our service. Our priority is to ensure that we have the expertise to assist you with your unique situation and to help meet your needs.

Our therapy team review your information, and will advise you if we feel we are able to assist you to reach your goals. We will then provide you with an approximate wait time for therapy.

Even if there is a wait list, our goal is to offer you an initial appointment to find out some more information and offer you some assistance while you wait. This may be some education, a home program or some strategies to get you started.

If you are placed on a waitlist, we then have an understanding of your needs and can provide you with additional support during this time if relevant.

For your first appointment, please bring any relevant reports or information with you.

WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN YOU ENGAGE OUR THERAPY SERVICES

Once we receive a referral, we review the information to ensure we have therapists with the appropriate qualifications and knowledge to best meet your needs and ensure positive outcomes. If we are the right team for you, we will advise you that you will be offered an appointment or added to our waitlist.

Occupational Therapy and

Exercise Physiology:

  1. Initial Assessment
Our occupational therapists will complete an initial assessment to identify what areas you would like help with and then they will develop a plan to help you reach your goals. Our paediatric clients will often be offered a parent session to obtain a medical history, followed by the assessment with your child.

  2. Follow-up or Referral
We will then book you in for a feedback session to discuss the outcomes of your assessment, establish goals and develop a clear plan for therapy. This may include individual therapy with your therapist, referral to another therapist on the team, development of a home program, group therapy or education sessions. Our goal is to ensure we work with you to help you achieve your goals as quickly as possible.
